Education: Bachelor’s in Commerce & Computer Sciences From University of Punjab, Pakistan

Social Worker & Motivator:  Pioneer and Role Model for the Movement for the Rights of Disabled Persons in Pakistan since 1994-1999.

Profession: Working as Executive Editor / Graphic Designer in Weekly Pakistan News USA since 2001.

Practical Experience, Training & Certifications in Livestock Management & Integrated Farming especially develop compatibility with the disabilities.

Passion: International Level Wheelchair Table Tennis Athlete & Certified Para Table Tennis Coach.

Pioneer Director: Muhammad Mudassar is the Pioneer Director of Al-Mumtaz Rehab Center & Institute.  He is a truly exceptional leader, motivator, athlete and advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities, possessing a remarkable combination of experience, dedication, and leadership qualities.

History: Paralyzed waist down due to an encounter with the deadly polio virus early in his childhood, Muhammad Mudassar did not let that deter him from participating in any eligible sports. Unexpectedly discovering his talent in table tennis, he pursued the sport overcoming the odds of his disability. In the process, he successfully won numerous awards.

Muhammad is the first wheelchair table tennis athlete represented Pakistan since 1994 and after that becoming the first wheelchair athlete from the South Asian region to compete in the Canadian Para National Championships back in 2004. His impressive record includes:

 

15-time Canadian Para National Champion: He has consistently demonstrated his exceptional talent and dedication, securing 24 gold medals in singles and doubles categories since 2010.

International Competitor: Muhammad has represented Canada with distinction on the international stage, earning 7 medals since 2018 and competing in major events like the Para Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games.

Leadership and Advocacy: He has served on the Canadian Para Table Tennis Advisory Board and the Athletes Commission in Table Tennis Canada, demonstrating his commitment to athlete representation and program development.

Mentorship and Inspiration: Muhammad is a true role model, motivating and encouraging fellow athletes and persons with disabilities to reach their full potential to achieve the dignity in the Society.

Knowledge and Expertise: He possesses in-depth knowledge of table tennis as a Certified Para Coach, Certified Umpire, classifications, rules, techniques, and strategies, Business Management, Livestock Management & Integrated Farming combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Muhammad’s dedication to Para sport extends beyond Canada. He is actively involved in promoting education, skills and sports activities for people with disabilities in Pakistan, working to enhance their quality of life through competitive opportunities.
